About Us

Global Offsite Care is a humanitarian all volunteer non profit organization providing telemedicine worldwide to underserved communities.

Global Offsite Care provides high quality medical care using affordable technology in conjunction with good medical practices. GOSC is comprised of Rotarians and supporters who are enthusiastic about spreading the benefits of telemedicine worldwide to provide high quality care to the underserved using affordable technology, in partnership with local Sonoma County physician Dr. James K Gude, guiding them to build an international network of doctors to deliver service, as well as, provide Continuing Medical Education globally supporting remote medical consultation.

GOSC recognizes that as technology evolves, it becomes more and more practical to connect patients with medical specialists who are not nearby and in fact may be in a distant country. Remote consults from medical specialists to local doctors in underserved areas can save lives and bring practical solutions to medical problems faced by patients no matter where they live. Formed in 2013 by Dr. James K. Gude and local Rotarians who saw the opportunity to help prevent and cure disease by promoting Rotary club-sponsored telemedicine projects. We currently have 18 telemedicine projects in 11 countries: 5 in Africa, 4 in Asia and 2 in the Caribbean. Our Mission for Global OffSite Care is as a catalyst to increase access to specialized healthcare for all, providing technology platforms to doctors and clinics around the world through Rotary Club sponsored telemedicine projects. We recognize that as technology evolves, it becomes more and more practical to connect patients with medical specialists who are not nearby and in fact may be in a distant country. Continuing medical education "Global Grand Rounds" with local doctors and remote consults from medical specialists to local doctors can save lives and bring practical solutions to medical problems faced by patients no matter where they happen to live.
