About Us

Global OffSite Care is a humanitarian all volunteer non profit organization providing telemedicine worldwide to underserved communities. We operate under the name Global Telemedicine. Global Telemedicine provides high quality medical care using affordable technology in conjunction with good medical practices. 

Global Telemedicine is comprised of volunteer medical doctors, Rotarians and supporters who are enthusiastic about spreading the benefits of telemedicine worldwide. We work closely with longtime local Sonoma County physician Dr. James K Gude, who as our Medical Director helps guide Global OffSite Care in building an international network of doctors who deliver service, and provide Continuing Medical Education globally.

Global Telemedicine recognizes that as technology evolves, it becomes more and more practical to connect patients with medical specialists who are not nearby and in fact may be in a distant country. Remote consults from medical specialists to local doctors in underserved areas can save lives and bring practical solutions to medical problems faced by patients no matter where they live. Formed in 2013 by Dr. James K. Gude and local Rotarians who saw the opportunity to help prevent and cure disease by promoting Rotary club-sponsored telemedicine projects. We currently have 18 telemedicine projects: 5 in Africa, 11 in Asia and 2 in the Caribbean.

Global Telemedicine acts as a catalyst to increase access to specialized healthcare for all, by providing technology platforms to doctors and clinics around the world working through Rotary Club sponsored telemedicine projects. We offer continuing medical education in our "Global Grand Rounds" to build and maintain skills and knowledge of medical best practice globally.
